The media entertainment industry is developing rapidly. And the remoteness of work processes has already become commonplace. To meet the needs of the audience, content creators constantly need to scale production, while finding opportunities to reduce costs and ensure productivity. At the same time, it is necessary to preserve the security of intellectual property.

To address these challenges, The Dynamics 365 media and entertainment accelerator provides the ability to embed cloud-based processes. Version 2.0 with expanded features is now available. The Dynamics 365 media and entertainment accelerator enables organizations to independently develop and deploy business applications. This provides quick access to analytic data and workstation automation. The solution is based on the Common Data Model and Microsoft Power Platform. Includes settings to support business logic and multimedia applications.

In version 1.0. of the media and entertainment accelerator includes a data model that contains objects and attributes. This is necessary to create new applications. It is also used to work with big data, specifically for collection and analysis. With this solution, you can add data objects for specific media, interface samples, and business flows necessary for:

  • Automation of registration for events
  • Sports management
  • Ticket management
  • Sponsorship

Improved events with Microsoft Power Apps portals and Microsoft Teams integrations

To enable support for the industry's transition to hosting online events and hybrid live events, version 2.0 expanded the media data model and code samples. In addition, integration with Microsoft Teams API has been added. This allows event producers to easily create broadcasts and events where guests participate through Microsoft Teams. To use these capabilities, we added a sample application based on the event and place model. In addition, the Power Apps Portals template has been included. This will allow event producers to launch their fan-focused sites to promote events, and guests can also join an already live event directly and without the need for a separate Microsoft Teams client.

Cloud-based content production workflows speed up development

In addition, the new version will be updated with a content management solution for requests from creative companies, agencies and film studios.

Content Production Management brings with it the addition of 15 data objects to the Media Data Model. The accelerator provides dashboards, user interfaces, and automated business processes. This all speeds up the development of online applications to optimize performance and increase productivity.

Using these elements, you can solve most of the collaborative workflows in the cloud using Microsoft Power Automate in order to:

  • Add data and processes to control access and use of assets
  • Perform improved search
  • Automate a number of functions:
    1. Archiving
    2. Loading
    3. Quality control
    4. Tagging
    5. Distribution
